Mrs. Betty Earleen Rash Eller, age 82, of Creston, NC died on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Eller was born on February 7, 1927 in Todd, NC to the late John Spencer and Mabel Wheatley Rash. Mrs. Eller was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Rash, a brother, Denver Rash, a sister, Jo Ann Woods, a son-in-law, Douglas Allen. She was a devoted member of Three Top Baptist Church from a young age. She loved to work in her flower garden, quilt, and just help others. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Denton Hart, Rev. Ken Holmes, and Rev. Rhonda Rash. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Ashelawn prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Eller is survived by: her husband of 65 years (married April 1, 1944), Robert Hugh (Bob) Eller, two sons - Jerry Eller and wife Jeanette of Todd, NC, Jim Eller and wife Debbie of Creston, NC; two daughters - Margaret Eller Allen of Creston, NC, Kathy Eller Smith and husband Larry of Creston, NC; a brother - Ray Rash of Lenoir, NC; five sisters - Pauline Latham of Creston, NC, Edna Calloway of Todd, NC, Ima Jean Ford of VA, Sharlene Lewis of Creston, NC, Geraldine Klink of Creston, NC; five grandchildren - Melissa Eller Rash, Tony Eller, Michael Reece, Chad Smith, and Jason Eller; ten great grandchildren - Chris, Austin and Courtney Rash; Tyler, Abby and Sumner Eller; Amberlynn and Shelby Reece; Sawyer Eller; Casey Ham. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Three Top Baptist Church, c/o Donna Lewis, P.O. Box 330, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
