Earsie Mae (Hamm) Roland

Earsie Mae Hamm Roland, age 89 of Lansing, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Roland was born on December 22, 1931 in Ashe County to Troy Edward Hamm and Luna Matilda Greer Hamm. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvin Howard Roland, Jr., a son, Roger Roland, two sisters, Ardeen Hamm and Myrtle Poletta, and three brothers, James Edward Hamm, Garland Hamm, and Walter Worth Hamm.

Mrs. Roland enjoyed working with the Senior Companion program. She was always a happy person.

Mrs. Roland is survived by:  brother, Junior Jackson of Delaware, sister, Anna Lee Sanders of Maryland, brother, J.B. Hamm of Lansing, granddaughter, Vickie Flanagan; also surviving are several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Tim Hamm. The family will receive friends following the service.
