Edward "Ed" Moretz, age 79 died Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at Sunbridge of Alleghany in Sparta.
He was born on June 5, 1924 in Watauga County, son of the late Sherman and Lucy Arnette Moretz. He married Francis Hick who preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 31, 2003 at Mountlawn Memorial Park in North Wilkesboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 - 4:00 P.M. at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Survivors include:
1 Sister: Mamie Flannery of West Jefferson
3 Brothers: Vance Moretz of West Jefferson, Don Moretz of High Point, and Raymond Moretz of West Jefferson.
And several nieces & nephews.
Ashelawn Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
