Edith Greer

Edith Virginia Johnson Greer, age 73 of Jefferson, died Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Greer was born October 28, 1929 in Ashe County to the late James and Mattie Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2003 at the Bristol Baptist Church. Rev. Billy Joe Blevins and Rev. Lloyd Day will officiate. Burial will follow in the Proctor-Greer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:30 PM, Thursday, October 16th at Badger Funeral Home.

Sons: Marvin Greer Jr. of Wilmington, NC & Ralph Buddy Greer of Jefferson, NC

Daughters: Wanda Hamby, Anita Miller, Becky Goss & Debbie Hoosier all of Jefferson, NC

Brother: Charlie Johnson of Grassy Creek, NC

Sisters: Viola Dillard of Jefferson & Lucy Combs of Wilkesboro, NC

12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews also survive.
