Edward Roscoe Blevins age 80 of Mouth of Wilson, VA, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at the N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC.
Mr. Blevins was born on December 10, 1924 in Ashe County, NC to John Morgan and Lena McNeill Blevins. He was a member of the Gold Hill Baptist Church in Independence, VA. Mr. Blevins served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Mouth of Wilson Masonic Lodge. He worked and retired after 30 years as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tommy Dollar will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Ashelawn Mausoleum of Prayer with military and Masonic funeral rites. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 13, 2005 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Rugby Rescue Squad, c/o John Hall or to the NC Baptist Hospital Cardiac Rehab.
