Effie Bard

Effie Miller Dillard Bard, age 84 of Jefferson, NC, died Tuesday, February 3, 2004
at her home. Mrs. Bard was born March 28, 1919 in Wilkes County to the late Foster and Dorie Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband Greek Bard.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 6, 2004 at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Russell Sheets and Rev. Robert Herilla will officiate. Burial will follow in the Piney Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 5th at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bard is survived by:

4 sons: Bruce and Harold Dillard both of West Jefferson, NC, Robert Dillard of Honaker, VA and Benny Dillard of Darlington, MD

1 daughter: Rosie Miller of Jefferson, NC

2 brothers: Burl Miller of Millers Creek, NC and George Miller of High Point, NC

5 sisters: Evangalene Cockerham of Statesville, NC, Mable Cockerham and Sterlie Bumgarner both of Millers Creek, NC, Clara Yates of Winston Salem, NC, and Barbara Basin of High Point, NC

6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
