Mrs. Elizabeth Dale Quillen Richardson Brown, age 96, of Jefferson, NC, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Brown was born January 5, 1913 in Grayson County, VA to the late James L. and Rebecca Jane Davis Quillen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bradley W. Richardson and John H. Brown; a sister, Lela Ball; and a brother, Jim Quillen. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker.     Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson, NC by Rev. Roger Newton. Burial will follow in the Jefferson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm prior the funeral service at Ashelawn. Pallbearers will be Brian Sulser, Josh Baumann, Paul Moffett, Robert Weaver, Mark Durr, and Bryan Bell.   Mrs. Brown is survived by:  One son:      David Richardson and wife JoAnn of Fries, VA.  Two daughters: Patsy Durr and husband Jim of Jefferson, NC. Janie McNeill and husband Garvin of Jefferson, NC.    7 grandchildren: Aimee Sulser, Alison Baumann, Mark Durr, Barbara Weaver, Rebecca Moffett, Melissa Shulski, and Martha Shulski. 9 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.  Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to the Ashe Humane Society, P.O. Box 1776, West Jefferson, NC 28694, or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family will be meeting at Mrs. Brown's home at 210 McConnell Street, Jefferson, NC.
