Ernest Dale Crepps

Ernest Dale Crepps better known as Dale age 65 of Laurel Springs passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Crepps was born in Michigan on Tuesday, May 29, 1956 to the late Ernest Morgan and Marjorie Hope Penninger Crepps. He worked as a machinist for Leviton Manufacturing. In his spare time he enjoyed to work and tinker on small engines and other items.

Mr. Crepps is survived by: his wife, Kathy Houck Crepps, four step-sons, James Caudill of Lansing, Josh Witherspoon and wife Jennifer of Laurel Springs, Jamie Witherspoon of South Carolina and Mario Witherspoon and wife Kelly of Wilkesboro, one step-daughter, Tonya Denny and husband Lee of Creston, one sister, Marilyn H. McGrady of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Channing Potter, Tucker Witherspoon, Chloe Witherspoon, four step-grandchildren, Chad Denny, Charles Denny, Jamie Caudill, Brandi Caudill, two step great-grandchildren and one nephew, Josh Hurley also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2020 at 2:00pm at Phoenix Baptist Church by Rev. Chris Taylor.  Burial will follow in the Big Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service at the church.
