Eula Mae Elliott Dollar, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, age 87 of Warrensville passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Dollar was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, July 23, 1930 to Lester John and Daisy Osborne Elliott. Including her parents she was preceded in death by, her husband, Thomas Jack Dollar, sister, Virginia Elliott Ashley, two sons, Rickey Lynn Dollar, and Charles Edward “Eddie” Dollar. She worked for Sprague Electric and Dollar’s Produce. A member of Rich Hill Baptist Church, Eula Mae was a prayer warrior with a strong faith in the Lord, dearly loved her church and was an inspiration to many people. She always enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
Mrs. Dollar is survived by: two sons, Rev. Tommy Dollar & wife Joy of West Jefferson, and Danny Dollar & wife Sandy of Warrensville; two daughters-in-law, Betty Dollar of Jefferson and Deborah Dollar of Warrensville; five brothers, Everett Elliott of Laurel Springs, Robert Elliott and C. B. Elliott both of Creston, Norman Elliott and Larry Elliott both of Jefferson; three sisters, Glenda Goodman of Todd, Barbara Roland of Warrensville and Doris Stroud of Creston; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Carlton Houck, Elder Fred Richardson and Rev. Jeff Dollar. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Rich Hill Baptist Church, c/o Nathan Roland, 527 Carl Eastridge Rd., Warrensville, NC 28693.
The family will be meeting at the home of her son, Tommy Dollar at 2702 Frank Dillard Road in West Jefferson.
