Eula Ruth (Russ) Osborne

Eula Ruth Russ Osborne, age 94 of Creston died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Osborne was born Monday, January 28, 1924 in Ashe County to the late Dan Russ Sr. and Mae Belle Humphrey Russ.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Talmage Vernon Osborne, daughter, Martha Osborne, sons, Gene, Jerry, Ronnie, Tommy and an infant son, John Osborne as well as two brothers, James Russ and Dan Russ Jr. and one sister Ruby Flannery.  Eula was a hard worker throughout her life and was a devoted mother and grandmother.  Mrs. Osborne was a member of Creston Church of Christ.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by two daughters, Jane Parker and husband Lester of Jefferson and Susan Stanley and husband Tommy of Creston, one son, James H. Osborne of Creston, one brother, Delmer Russ, three sisters, Cora Delp, Barbara Wallace and Betty Rash.  Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, Karissa Stanley, Saundra Day, Sam Hartsoe, Tim Osborne, Keith Osborne, Jefferey Osborne, Michael Osborne, David Osborne, Douglas Osborne, Maria Osborne, Melissa Thorp, Amanda Whitman, Jill Caudill and Christopher Osborne, 27 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Minister Tim Canup.  Burial will follow in the Osborne Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm one hour prior to the service.

The family respectfully request no food or flowers please.  Memorials may be made to the West Jefferson or Creston Church of Christ.
