Evelyn "Evie" Osborne Darnell

Evelyn Osborne Darnell, better known as Evie, age 93, of Lansing, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born on July 15, 1931, in Ashe County to George Dewey Osborne and Emma Sapp Osborne, Evie’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family and her community.

Evie was a warm and humble woman who always saw the best in others. Her kindness and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on her family and all who knew her.

A lifelong member of Sabbath Home Baptist Church, Evie’s faith was a cornerstone of her life and she was an active and devoted member of her church community. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #275 in Lansing.
