Faye (Dishman) Burgess

Lucy Faye Dishman Burgess, better known as Faye, age 95 of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at her home.  Mrs. Burgess was born on Monday, October 6, 1924 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late, Charles and Verdie Bare Dishman.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Kenneth Ray Burgess, daughter, Rachael Trivette and all of her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Burgess is survived by three sons, Wayne, Ricky (Tammy) and Dicky (Sandra) Burgess all of Jefferson, six daughters, Donna Farmer of West Jefferson, Linda Baker of Crumpler, Wilma Padilla, Mary Fuentes (Victor), Kaye Rash (Ronnie) and Judy Testerman (Terry) all of Jefferson. Twenty-one grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Steve Viers.  Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm one hour prior to the service.
