Frances Kay (Morgan) Abernethy

Frances Kay Morgan Abernethy, passed away on October 24, 2023 at her home at the age of 70.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Minnie Brown Morgan and her husband, Sid Abernethy.

She loved books and enjoyed reading.  Kay had a unique way of showing her love and care for her family and friends. She took a genuine interest in her family’s travels, eager to hear their stories and adventures from around the world. When they were in town visiting, she enjoyed outings to her favorite restaurant, sharing delightful meals and cherished moments. Her circle of friends in the community were very important to her. Kay cherished the bonds she formed with those around her and considered her friends an extension of her family. Her caring nature led her to befriend people in need and she touched many lives with her kindness.

Mrs. Abernethy is survived by her son, Scott and wife, Donna, two grandchildren, Carlyn Abernethy and Tyler Abernethy and wife, Charity, three great-grandchildren Fredrick, Alastair and Adelaide also survive.

A private Celebration of Life Service for close family and friends will be held at a later date.
