Frank James Weaver

Obituary:

Frank James Weaver, a beloved member of the community, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Blacksburg, VA. He was born on March 27, 1927, in Grayson County, VA to the late Winfield and Polly Goss Weaver.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Kay Krause. sisters, Pat, Winni, Mary, Ruth and Martha and a brother, Jessie.

Frank was known for his kind and gentle nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His passion for fishing and gardening brought him great joy throughout his life, and he shared joy with everyone around him.

Mr. Weaver is survived by his wife, Erma Howell Weaver, one son, Frank James Weaver Jr. of Middleburg, FL, one daughter, Kathy Dianne Weaver of Blacksburg, VA and five grandchildren, James, William, Rebecca, Paul and Anitra. 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The visitation to honor Frank's life will take place at Ashelawn Chapel & Gardens in Jefferson, NC, on July 4, 2024,from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon. This will be followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in the West Jefferson Cemetery. Friends and acquaintances are welcome to attend and pay their respects to a wonderful man who will be deeply missed.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
