Fred Sluder

Mr. Fred Sluder, age 80, of Fairground Lane, Mountain City, TN, formerly of Creston, NC died Sunday, December 8, 2002, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at 8:00 P.M. At Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson. Interment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Wednesday, December 11 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday evening prior to services prior to services at Ashelawn. Flowers are accepted or memorial may be made to the Peak Valley Baptist Church 4022 Peak Rd. Creston, NC 28615.

Mr. Sluder was born in Creston, NC, May 23, 1922, to Edgar William and Stella May Sluder. He was retired from Mack Industries. He was preceded in death by his father and a son Charles E. Sluder of Aberdeen, Md.

Two sisters ? Thelma J. Shepherd of Creston, NC
Helen L. Trivette of Mountain City, TN

Two brothers ? Ralph E. Sluder of Baltimore, MD
Walter Clyde Sluder and wife Nellie of Newark, DE

Seven grandchildren, Fourteen step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
