PLEASE NOTE: CHANGE IN FUNERAL TIMES DUE TO WEATHER

Garland Lee Wood, age 67, of Creston died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Wood was born January 2, 1951 in Ashe County to the late James A. and Ada Roten Wood.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Lena Kay Miller.  He loved to hunt and fish and he worked at Catawissa Lumber for 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pmWednesday, January 17, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Minister Terry Woods. Burial will follow in the Roten Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00PM prior to the service.

Mr. Wood is survived by: His wife, Debbie Walls Wood, daughter, Michelle Wood of Creston, sisters, Kathy Baldwin of West Jefferson & Brenda Wood of Creston, grandson, Darrian Chapman, special friend, Christie Roark and several nieces and nephews.
