Mr. Garnie Wyatt age 78, of Warrensville, NC died on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Winston Salem, NC. Mr. Wyatt was born on July 15, 1932 in Ashe, NC to David and Bertha Ham Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt worked for Parker Tie Company in West Jefferson for over 40 years. He enjoyed working on the farm, bluegrass gospel music and pulling pranks on other people. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Mountain City. Mr. Wyatt was preceded in death by Father, David Wyatt, Mother, Bertha Ham Wyatt Richardson, Brother, Lester Wyatt, Brother, Blaine Ham. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the palliative care unit at Baptist Hospital for their special care they provided. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Frank Woods, Rev. Wayne Jones, and Rev. Ted Reynolds. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Mr. Wyatt is survived by: Wife, Lillian Jewell Jones Wyatt, Daughter - Linda Wyatt Pennell and husband David of Warrensville, Special Friend - Barry Woodie of Warrensville, Sister - Thelma Woods of Lansing, NC, also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be appreciated, or memorials may be made to Wyatt Cemetery Fund, 1127 West Mill Creek Road, Warrensville, NC 28693.
