Gary "Hub" Eldreth

Gary Eldreth also known as Hub, age 57 of Lansing died Thursday night, March 28, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Eldreth was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, October 4, 1961 to the late Roy Oscar “Jack” and Ruth Church Eldreth. Gary was a loving father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and always enjoyed talking to people. Anyone who knew Gary, knew about his love for any Ford Motor Company product and that he had a great enjoyment of any kind of motorsports racing.

Mr. Eldreth is survived by: one son, Michael Clark of Wilkesboro, two daughters, Brittany Matkins and Stephanie Matkins both of West Jefferson, special best friend, Virgie Nichols of West Jefferson, ten grandchildren, one uncle, two aunts and several cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Badger Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in the Goss Cemetery by Rev. Joey McClure.
