Geneva Shumate Miller

Bessie Geneva Shumate Miller, better known as, Geneva age, 90 of Lansing passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  She was born on October 15, 1934 in Washington County, VA to the late Paul and Thelma Trivett Shumate. 

Mrs.Miller is survived by one son, Daniel Huffman and wife, Sharon of Lansing, one granddaughter, Danielle Ayers and husband, John, three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Ruthie and Suzie, three brothers, Vernon Shumate, Jess Shumate and Kenneth Shumate, as well as one sister, Shirley Petrucci.

A private entombment was held at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer.
