Georgia Koenig

Georgia Combs Koenig age 66 of West Jefferson, NC died Monday, February 3, 2003 at her residence. Mrs. Koenig was born August 29, 1936 in Hamilton, Ohio to Lester and Ora Weaver Combs. She was a homemaker and beloved wife of 42 years of Richard Koenig and was preceded in death by her parents and a son Chris Carter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 11:00 A.M at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel in Jefferson. Remarks will be by Rev. Jack Pugh, Mr. Jack Young and Mr. Micheal Combs. Interment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens in Jefferson.

Survivors include in addition to her husband.

Sons: Ben Koenig of Tallahessee, FL & Jay Carter of Syracuse, NY

Daughter: Nadja Pirkle of Buford, GA

Brother: Michael Combs of Fairfield, OH

Sister: Phyllis Canniff of Cincinnati, OH

7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews also survive.
