Gincy Weaver

Mrs.Gincy Coleen Taylor Weaver, age 79, of Lansing, NC died on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Weaver was born on June 20, 1930 in Ashe County, NC to Harrison and Eliza Jane Taylor. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Uless Grant Weaver, one brother and seven sisters. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Lansing, NC. She enjoyed reading her Bible and cooking. She always had a giving heart and loved to help her children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Meadowview Mennonite Church by Rev. Dan Hess. Burial will follow in the Tucker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, c/o Ashe Services for Aging, P.O. Box 9, West Jefferson, NC 28694. Mrs. Weaver is survived by: Daughters - Loretta Greer and Mary Brown, both of West Jefferson, NC; Louise Powers and Linda Ham, both of Lansing, NC; Sons - Douglas Weaver, Dennis Weaver, and William "Bill" Harrison Weaver, all of Lansing, NC; Brother - Elwood Taylor of Lansing, NC; also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
