Robert Glenn Shaw, age 75 of West Jefferson, NC, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at his home. Mr. Shaw was born November 13, 1930 in Ashe County to the late Joseph Edward and Edna Dale Dishman Shaw. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Virginia Combs Shaw and two daughters; Darlene and Dee Dee Shaw.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Poe Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 9:00 PM Wednesday, December 21st at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Shaw is survived by:

Six sons: Dean Shaw of Lansing, NC, John Shaw of West Jefferson, NC, Billy Shaw of Bessher, AL, Danny Shaw of Whitetop, VA, Tommy Shaw of Todd, NC and Terry Shaw of Wilkesboro, NC

Five daughters: Jeanette Dollar, Peggy Perry, Retha Woods all of West Jefferson, NC, Giona Treadway of Crumpler, NC and Ina Greer of Todd, NC

One brother: Willard Shaw of West Jefferson, NC

Two sisters: Linda Stike of Warrensville, NC and Dorothy Winebarger of Boone, NC

24 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
