Guy Brown

William Guy Brown, age 83, of Crumpler, NC, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in Teas, Virginia on March 24, 1922 to the late Estel and Martha Pugh Brown. He is preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. He was in the United States Army, serving in World War II in Europe. He worked many years at Thomasville Furniture and was an active member of the New River Baptist Church. After retiring he enjoyed spending time in his garden, woodworking and growing blueberries.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at New River Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne Jones, Rev. Allen Huffman and Rev. Jack Pugh will officiate. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Badger Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the New River Baptist Church Building Fund, 9721 NC Hwy 113, Piney Creek, NC 28675 or to The Gideon's International, P.O. Box 993, West Jefferson, NC 28694.

Brother: Robert Brown of Crumpler, NC

Sister: Fannie Huffman of West Jefferson, NC
