Harley Marie Taylor

Harley Marie Taylor, age 22 of Grassy Creek, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. Ms. Taylor was born on June 15, 1999 in Ashe County to Marvin Jimmy Taylor and Regina Gail Roten Dugger. She was preceded in death by a brother, Justin Todd Canter. Her son, Bentley Ray Taylor, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Harley was a very artistic person who had a big heart. She was a loving mother to her children. She was known by her nickname “Bug”. Harley had a personality that would light up a room.

Ms. Taylor is survived by:  daughter, Allie Nichole Rangel of West Jefferson; father, Jimmy Taylor of Grassy Creek; mother, Regina (Rodney) Dugger of Crumpler; paternal grandmother, Janice (Tom) Johnson of Grassy Creek; paternal grandfather, Marvin (Dayna) Taylor of Lansing; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Kay Roten of Crumpler; great-grandmother, Viola Church of Grassy Creek; two sisters, Savannah Renee Taylor and Samantha Dawn Canter, both of Crumpler; brother; Traven Cole Taylor of Independence, VA; boyfriend, Hunter Luther, father of her daughter, Gabe Rangel; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Minister James Barr. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
