Harlie Junior Taylor

Harlie Junior Taylor age 79 of Jefferson died Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Taylor was born in Ashe County on Wednesday, November 13, 1940 to the late Willie Oscar and Susie Elizabeth McCormick Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna JoAnne Jones Taylor. He was a member of Apple Grove Baptist Church. Harlie enjoyed fishing especially crappy fishing, and loved any kind of televised sports.

Mr. Taylor is survived by: one brother, Herman Taylor of Highpoint, two sisters, Mary Ann Baldwin of West Jefferson, and Wilma Cowan of Nathans Creek, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Julian Owen.  Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am, one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.
