Harrison Howard Ray

Harrison Howard Ray, age 88 of Boone died, Wednesday, May 5, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.  Mr. Ray was born on Friday, April 8, 1932 in Ashe County to the late Jesse and Ruth Grubb Ray.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Letcher Ray and sisters, Grace Ray, Gertrude Hayes and Mattie Wehunt.  Mr. Ray was a God fearing man.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trading items at flea markets.

Services will be private.

Mr. Ray is survived by, sons, Harrison, Johnny and Jesse Ray, daughters, Shirley Webb, Ruth Miller and Teresa Ray, the mother of his children, Roxie Ray, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
