Helen Faltermann

Helen I. Faltermann, of 9190 Hwy. 194 N. Lansing and Burlington passed away on October 17, 2003. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jim Blevins of Lansing and Burlington. She leaves a granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Blevins and her husband Branan Michael Whitehead of Somerset, KY and her grandson, James Ray Blevins, Jr. of Raleigh. She was a long-time friend of Marie Blevins and her family of Lansing.

She was born on April 28, 1910 in Highland Falls near West Point, NY. The second of eight children of Lucian and Jennie D'Andrea; she was the last one to pass away at the age of 93. She lived most of her life in New York and married Frederick L. Faltermann in 1935. Frederick died in 1949 due to injuries sustained during WWII. Helen raised Pat on her own and moved to North Carolina once Pat married. She made her home with Pat and Jim and was a "second mother" to Jennifer and Ray. She had a major influence on her family; she was loved and will be sorely missed.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 20, 2003 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. The family received friends from 7 until 9 P.M. Sunday. Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
