Hillary Greer Cooper

Hillary Greer Cooper, age 48 of Crumpler, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Ms. Cooper was born on December 30, 1972 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Jackie Keith and Wanda Greer Cooper.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her uncle, Ken Cooper.

Hillary dedicated her life to her children.  She had a great love of animals, especially strays.  She was a great tennis player and was known in Ashe County for her skill and constant presence at the courts in West Jefferson.  Hillary also loved going to the river and listening and dancing to live music.

Ms. Cooper is survived by t wo daughters, Josie Cooper and Lacie Cooper both of Crumpler, o ne son, Dalton Cooper of Crumpler, o ne sister, Allison Thompson of Deep Gap, aunt, Karen Cooper of Warrensville, several nieces and nephews, and s pecial friend, Buddy Brown of Millers Creek.

Memorial services for Ms. Cooper will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to an animal care or rescue organization of the donor's choice.
