Hugh Davis Alexander, age 71 of Jefferson, NC died Monday, May 19, 2003 at his home. Mr. Alexander was born February 15, 1932 in Ashe County to the late Wake and Lena Alexander. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Bledsoe Alexander.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21st at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Kirk McNeill will officiate and Rev. Bill Ballou will be the featured soloist. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with Masonic rites. The family will receive friends from 7:00 till 9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 20th at Badger Funeral Home.
Mr. Alexander is survived by:
Two Daughters: Judy Townsend of Hickory, NC and Teresa Blevins of West Jefferson, NC
One Brother: Alen Alexander of West Jefferson, NC
Five grandchildren also survive.
