Ida Lawrence

Ida Blanche Stevens Lawrence age 86 of West Jefferson, NC died Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lawrence was born on December 9, 1916 in Ashe County, NC to Raleigh and Octavia Greer Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Glen Lawrence, and infant son Harold Dean Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence was the oldest living member of Bald Mtn. Baptist Church. She had a deep love and commitment for Jesus Christ, and her family. She loved to sew, grow flowers, and sing in the church choir.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 3, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bald Mountain Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Lawrence and Rev. Lawrence Goodman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bald Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2003 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Bald Mountain Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bald Mt. Baptist Church Building Fund, 1460 Bald Mtn. Rd., West Jefferson, NC 28694.
