Ima Jean Ford, age 83 of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, passed away December 12, 2024, at Alleghany Nursing Center. She was born on June 11, 1941, in Three Top, NC to the late John Rash and Mable Wheatly Rash.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thurman Ford of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. Her brothers, Edgar Rash, Denver Rash and Ray Rash, her sisters Earlene Eller, Pauline Latham, Edna Calloway and Joanne Wood.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Ford and wife Terri Ford of Grassy Creek, NC; two sisters Sharlene Lewis and husband Bob Lewis of Creston, NC and Barbara Klink of West Jefferson, NC. She has one grandson, Justin Ford and wife Thu Ford of Greenville, SC. She has two great grandchildren Jaxson Ford and Jordyn Ford of Greenville, SC. Also, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Ima Jean was a member at Three Top Baptist Church and attended New River Baptist Church in Grassy Creek, NC. Ima Jean loved gardening, canning, and baking for her family and friends. She loved making hand stitched quilts. She was an inspiration to the community and always willing to help anyone in need. She will be missed by her family and friends.
