Jackie “Jack” Lee Taylor

Jackie Lee Taylor better known as Jack age 82 of Jefferson died Saturday, at Ashe Assisted Living Center.  Mr. Taylor was born on Sunday, June 2, 1935 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Robert and Sessie Hurley Taylor.  Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Jane Jones Taylor in 2015 and all of his brothers and sisters.  Jack loved to buy, sell and collect antiques.  He was a member of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of the choir.  Mr. Taylor also enjoyed singing with the Taylor family singing group.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his son , Preston Taylor of Hamptonville, granddaughter, Crystal Taylor, two great-grandchildren, Gemma Guyer, Luther Guyer and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church by Rev. Doug Halsey and Rev. Corey Halsey.  Burial will be in the Scott Blevins Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
