James Joseph David Bare

James Joseph David Bare, age 56 of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Bare was born April 16, 1966 in Jefferson, NC to the late Donald Richard and Wanda Sue Miller Bare.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Gaynelle Starlene Lewis.  He enjoyed a successful career in car sales and later in plumbing.  His hobbies included gaming on the computer and riding snowmobiles and atv’s. He loved nature and being outside, dogs, cats and Chevy trucks.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Richard Bare.  Burial will follow in the Roans Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Bare is survived by his wife, Hilda “Lila” Smith, son, Gavin Johnson of West Mont, IL, step-son, Christopher William Smith of Wilkesboro, brother, Donald Lincoln Bare of Wilkesboro, sister, Donna Lee Bare of Winston Salem and nephew, Danny Sturgill Jr. of West Jefferson.
