James Brooks

James Junior Brooks, age 65 of Warrensville died Wednesday morning, May 5, 2004 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1938 in Ashe County, son of the late William Brooks and Lessie Mae Blackburn Brooks. He operated heavy machinery for Blue Circle Cement in Baltimore, MD. After retiring he worked at Ashe Lumber for several years. He loved the outdoors and bluegrass music.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2004 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Rev. Fred Greer will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 P.M. Friday prior to the service.
