James Church

James Roy Church, age 85 of Fleetwood, NC died Friday, June 27, 2003 at Glenbridge Nursing Home in Boone. Mr. Church was born on February 1, 1918 in Ashe County to Wiley and Murdie McNeill Church. He was a member of Old Fields Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, poultry farming and gardening. He'll be remembered as a precious, loving grandfather who loved playing with his grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 29, 2003 at 3:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jack Miller and Dr. Gary Pitts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Fields Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted, and memorials may be made to Old Fields Baptist Church Cemetery, c/o Sally Walters, 5375 Idlewild Rd. Fleetwood, NC 28626.
