James Dewayne Roten

James Dewayne Roten, age 55 of Creston died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Roten was born January 31, 1966 in Watauga County to Carl and Virginia Walker Roten.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.  James enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Ricky Hurley and Rev. Brandy Phipps.

Mr. Roten is survived by, his parents, Carl and Virginia Walker Roten of Creston, brother, Michael Roten of Sparta, sister, Darlene Osborne of Creston, nieces, Samantha Phipps and husband Brandy and Sherina Campbell and husband Chris.  3 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew also survive.
