James Ray Farrington

James Ray Farrington age 70 of Lansing died on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at his home. Mr. Farrington was born on June 5, 1947 to Walter Glenn and Stella Lambert Farrington. Including his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Winford Farrington. He was a member of the US Army serving in Vietnam and a member of the American Legion. James enjoyed taking a good walk, bowling and fishing with family.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 1:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Roans Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Farrington is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Ruby Ham Farrington, two sons, James Farrington & wife Wanda of N. Wilkesboro and Steve Farrington & Allison of Crumpler, one daughter, Andrea Farrington of Lansing, daughter in-law, Mary Ching of California, one grandson, Angelo Farrington of California, two brothers, Johnny Farrington of Deep Gap and Clayton Farrington of Jefferson, two sisters, Glenda Walters of West Jefferson and Lucy Parsons of Millers Creek; several nieces and nephews also survive.
