James "Dale" Brooks

James Dale Brooks, age 84 of Lansing died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Margate Health and Rehab Center.  Mr. Brooks was born November 15, 1933 in Ashe County to the late Fred and Lillie Hurley Brooks.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ray and Jerry Brooks.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home by Rev. David Brooks.  Burial will follow in the Howell Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM prior to the service.

Mr. Brooks is survived by: his sister, Dottie Winklbauer of Silver Springs, MD, several nieces and nephews.

The family is meeting at the home place at 2235 Bart Hurley Rd. in Lansing.
