Janice Elizabeth Neely

Janice Elizabeth Neely, a beloved member of her community, passed away on April 4, 2025, at the NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on September 15, 1933, in Friendship, Arkansas, Janice was a radiant spirit whose life was marked by her unwavering faith and kindness. Preceding her in death are her cherished parents, Lloyd and Neoma Pringle Fowler, and her husband, John Neely.

Throughout her career, Janice dedicated herself to the field of accounting at ABC Broadcasting Company, where her strong work ethic and cheerful demeanor made her a valued colleague. Her joy was infectious, and she was known for her constant smile and a heart full of gratitude. A faithful member of Midway Baptist Church, Janice's strong belief in the Lord guided her through life's challenges and filled her days with a sense of purpose.

In 2000, Janice experienced the profound loss of her husband, John Neely, who had been her steadfast companion. Following this difficult time, she moved to North Carolina in 2015 to start a new chapter in her life. Throughout her life, Janice remained a source of inspiration and love for those she encountered.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 11, 2025 at Midway Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Leashomb.  Burial will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Janice is survived by her son, Gary Neely, of Wilkesboro and dear friend, Connie Pennington of West Jefferson. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and positivity that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
