J.D. Jones

J. D. Jones, age 74 of Warrensville, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Jones was born on Sunday, May 12, 1946 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Dillard Wayne Jones and Clyde Brooks Daniels.  In addition to his parents J.D. was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Dillard Jones Jr. and one brother, Edward Wayne Jones.

J.D. was a Godly man, he loved his girls, his dog, Moe and his whole family very much.  J.D. was known as a prankster, he enjoyed trading, fishing and hunting.  He also liked to play rook, watch western movies and especially enjoyed playing his music.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 2:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Galgano and Rev. Wayne Jones.  Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Day officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service at Badger Funeral Home.

For everyone's safety it is requested that everyone in attendance please wear a face covering and practice social distancing.

Mr. Jones is survived by, his wife, Rosa Jones, three daughters, Sherry Jones, Melissa Graham & Jeannie Gregory (Wesley) all of Yadkinville, five step-daughters, Pam Eller, Teresa Sexton (Chris) & Kim Eller all of West Jefferson, Sharon Eller of Warrensville & Lisa Eller of Creston, four brothers, Ronnie Jones (Matt) of Kannapolis, Rev. Wayne Jones (Joyce) of West Jefferson, Lester Jones and Harold Jones both of Warrensville, two sisters, Patricia Boone of Kannapolis & Kathy Eller (Kenny) of Warrensville. 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Jones Cemetery fund.
