Jean Phipps

Jean Hoke Phipps age 79 of Grassy Creek, NC, died Monday, February 2, 2004 at the Grayson Rehabilitation Center in Independence, VA.
Mrs. Phipps was born on July 17, 1924 in Bluefield, WV to Raymond Burge and Pearl Presley Hoke. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Earl Phipps. Mrs. Phipps was an avid musician and a member of the Grassy Creek United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 6, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. Rev. Charles McKinny and Rev. Raymond Seagle will officiate. Burial will follow in the New River Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Grassy Creek United Methodist Church. Alma "Sissy" Colvard of Crumpler, NC
