Jeffery Wade Caudill

Jeffery Wade Caudill, passed away peacefully at his home in West Jefferson on Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was 63 years old.Born in West Jefferson, Jeffery was the son of the late Wade and Thelma Sawyer Caudill. He was born and raised in Ashe County, where he developed a deep love for the mountains he called home.

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Poole Caudill, five children, five grandchildren, two sisters and numerious nieces and nephews.

Jeffery was active in his community and a member of the First Baptist Church of West Jefferson, where he found great spiritual solace. He was also a member of the Jefferson Odd Fellows, embodying the principles of fellowship and charity. In his leisure time, Jeffery enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him closer to nature and provided him with moments of tranquility.Jeffery served his country with honor in the US Army and achieving membership in the prestigious Presidents 100 for his exceptional skills. 

A memorial service to celebrate Jeffery's life will be held at a later date.

Jeffery Wade Caudill will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, faith, and service to his country and community will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
