Jerry Blevins

Jerry Rom Blevins, age 63 of Lansing in the Little Horse Creek Community died Thursday September 4, 2003 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 7, 2003 at the Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Minister Danny Miller, Rev. Tommy Dollar, Minister Fred Richardson and Rev. Brad Wooten, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Saturday at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Blevins was born on December 23, 1939 in Laurel Springs, son of Lucille Shepherd Blevins and the late Rom Blevins. He married Minnie Stanley on June 26, 1965. He enjoyed farming especially growing tobacco and raising cattle. He was a member of New Home Baptist Church since 1976 where he served as deacon and was a Sunday school teacher.
