Jerry Wayne Roland

Jerry Wayne Roland, age 67 of Warrensville, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Roland was born September 19, 1954 in Elkton, MD to the late Jake Ralph Roland and Alice Beryl Jones Roland.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Shoemaker.  Mr. Roland was a partner in Roland Brothers Logging for 46 years.  He was a member, deacon and song leader at Rich Hill Baptist Church.  He loved spending time with his whole family and his children and grandchildren were his greatest pride in life.  Jerry also enjoyed fishing at the coast.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Tommy Dollar, Rev. Jeff Dollar and Rev. Carlton Houck.  Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Saturday, July 2nd at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Roland is survived by, his wife of almost 45 years, Barbara Roland, son, Nathan Roland and wife Karen of Warrensville, daughter, Alison Stewart and husband Travis of Warrensville, brothers, Scott Roland of Warrenville and James Roland of Maryland and grandchildren, Connor Roland and Skylar Stewart. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted but the family prefers memorials be made to the Ashe Chapter of the American Heart Association c/o Sandy Roten, PO Box 132, Lansing, NC  28643.
