Jerry Edward Sheets

Jerry Edward Sheets, age 73 of Jefferson died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Sheets was born September 23, 1944 in Ashe County to the late Rufus and Susan Creeps Sheets.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jack Sheets and sisters, Clara Cobb and Mary Elizabeth Absher.  Jerry retired from NCDOT in 2001 after many years of loyal service.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. His hobbies included reading and bird watching.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 23, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Wayne Blythe.  Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM prior to the service.

Mr. Sheets is survived by: His wife, Audrey Miller Sheets, son, John Sheets and wife Jamie of Lewisville, grandchildren, Jordan and Justin Sheets, Several nieces and nephews also survive.
