Jessie Linda Ruth (Walters) Richardson

Jessie Linda Ruth Walters Richardson age 73 of Warrensville passed away on Friday morning, August 12, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Richardson was born on October 3, 1948 to the late Estes and Ruth Walters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Walters and sister, Gloria Stokes. Jessie grew up in Avery County, NC and earned her nursing degree and continued in the nursing field for around 30 years before retiring. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, flower and vegetable gardening and writing. Jessie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by: her husband, Loyd Richardson, one daughter, Tammy Tedder Beck (John Cowan) of Hickory, one son, Jerry Tedder, Jr. (Kathy) of Leicester, NC, two grandchildren, Jamen Beck (Michelle) and Trevor Tedder; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 2:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day and Elder Fred Richardson.  Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service.
