Joe Blevins

Joe Joseph Blevins age 79 of Lansing, NC died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at his home. Mr. Blevins was born on May 12, 1924 in Clineville, VA to Stanley and Lucy Howell Blevins. He was a member of Shelter Baptist Church. He was a kind hearted man who adored children; everyone who visited him had to eat. He loved watching baseball and coon hunting. Mr. Blevins served in the US Army, he was a veteran of World War II.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Shelter Baptist Church. Rev. Dean Watson, Rev. David Grinnell, and Rev. Kenneth Howell will officiate. Military graveside will follow in the Woodie Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 4, 2003 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Badger Funeral Home.
