John Wayne Brittain

Mr. John Wayne Brittain better known as Big John age 59, of Warrensville, died on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Brittain was born on September 12, 1956 in Cleveland County, NC to Carmie and Maude Brittain. Mr. Brittain was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Kenneth Brittain, Ronald Brittain and Donald Brittain. Mr. Brittain loved being around people and he never met a stranger. He was a member if Sturgills Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Brittain is survived by: three sons, John Kyle Brittain & wife Christy of Lansing, Jason Brittain & wife Penny of Creston, Casey Steele & wife Tiffany of Jefferson, daughter, Anna Wolfe of Cherryvile, sister, Ruth Rudisill of Lincolnton, three brothers, Earl Brittain, Allen Brittain, C. F. Brittain all of Cherryville, five grandchildren, McKenzie Brittain, McKaylie Brittain, Kareigh Brittain, Ellie Brittain, Payten Maldonado; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
