John Burton Burns

John Burton Burns, age 61 of Lansing, died Monday, December 6, 2021 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Burns was born January 16, 1960 in Seattle, WA to the late Grover and Helen Wallace Burns.  Mr. Burns was an excellent carpenter and enjoyed riding horses in his spare time.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home.  Graveside services will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.

Mr. Burns is survived by 2 sons, Rodney Burns of Yadkinville and Eric Burns of Sparta, 2 daughters, Ashlee Burns of SC and Amanda Burns of King, 3 brothers, Grover Burns of Jonesville, Gary Burns and Tommy Burns both of Lansing, 5 sisters, Linda Wagner of Calabash, Billie Burns and Mary Lou Burns both of Yadkinville, Bernadine Greer of Whitetop and Christine Shumate of Wilkesboro.  9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.
