Johnnie Dale Severt

Johnnie Dale Severt, age 92 of West Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his home. Mr. Severt was born in West Jefferson on May 8, 1930 to the late Albert L. and Alma May Dempsey Severt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Louise Barker Severt.

Mr. Severt is survived by: one daughter, Belinda Severt Bowlin and husband Robert Bowlin of Laurel Springs; one son, Timothy John Severt and wife Dawn Hendricks Severt of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Ruth Royall of West Jefferson; two grandchildren, Johnathan Bowlin of Greensboro, Julie Bowlin Hoots and husband Chris Hoots of High Point; one great-granddaughter, Hailey Ann Hoots. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Lloyd Day.
